Linux and Network Engineer

We are looking for a Linux, Security and Network Engineer. The role of this individual will be to design, implement, configure and manage Linux servers to achieve high availability and performance for various business applications. The individual will also manage a low-latency production network for inter-server communication and be responsible for the cyber security We are seeking an individual who is curious, intellectually driven, practical, purposeful and result driven. He/she should have a deep technical understanding, excellent communications skills, and is service orientated.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as Linux System Administrator – Must

  • Networking knowledge – Must

  • Knowledge of Security Products including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, – Must

  • Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NFS and MySQL – Advantage

  • Working knowledge of Open Source Storage Systems – Advantage

  • Familiar with at least one language like Bash, Python or Perl – Advantage

  • Working knowledge of Server Virtualization – Advantage

  • Familiar with monitoring systems like Ganglia, Nagios and Zabbix - Advantage

  • Familiar with cloud solutions like AWS – Advantage

  • BSc Degree - Advantage
